Our Mission
Guiding Lives, Inc. is a youth advocacy organization which promotes and assists with providing the structure, support and services necessary to meet the needs of at-risk youth and their families while assisting them with coping with risk factors within the family, community and school.
Who We Are
Guiding Lives, Inc. is licensed through the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. We uphold an open admissions policy and maintain a culturally sensitive atmosphere. Our client base reflects diversity in aspects of both culture and age. Medicaid Recipients Are Welcome.
Our Goal
Our goal is to provide high quality and professional services which will empower youth and families to strengthen and preserve the family unit.
Our agency ensures that all services are provided by highly qualified professionals who possess the necessary expertise and training in their respective fields.
Our team of professionals includes Clinicians, Qualified Mental Health Professionals, and collaboration with referral resources to include but not limited to hospitals, courts, schools, community service boards, and managed care organizations.

We currently offer the following services:
Crisis Stabilization (CS)
Aims to stabilize an individual’s immediate crisis and prevent further escalation or harm.
Mental Health Skill Building (MHSB)
Focuses on teaching individuals practical skills and strategies to manage and improve their mental health and overall well-being.
Intensive In-Home Services (IIHS)
For children ages 5-18: the service provides intensive support and intervention to children and their families in their own homes.
Guiding Lives Prevention Programs
Our Prevention Programs are designed to educate, empower, and support individuals in developing skills and resources to prevent mental health challenges before they arise.
